Google visibility, explained

What does “managing your Google profile” change?

Management means keeping your details accurate, sharing useful updates and responding to reviews, so people can understand your business and contact you.

Left alone vs looked after

The same listing, two ways.

Google Business Profile
Your business listing in Google Search and Maps: services, hours, photos, reviews and contact details.
Managing it
Keeping that information useful and accurate, month after month.
Map pack
The short list of nearby businesses shown with a map when someone searches for what you do.

Left alone

Looked after

Your business on Google, in one picture

Here is what each part of a listing does for a customer.

  1. 1
Name and categoryWho you are and what you do, stated clearly and consistently.
  2. 2
PhotosCurrent photos of your work and your place help someone choose.
  3. 3
Hours and detailsAccurate hours, address and phone, so nobody arrives to a closed door.
  1. 4
Reviews and repliesResponding to reviews shows customers a real person is paying attention.
  2. 5
PostsWeekly updates share what’s new and show the business is active.
  3. 6
Call, website, directionsThe contact path: one tap from finding you to reaching you.

From a search to a call, in three steps

How a customer goes from searching to getting in touch, and what management keeps right at each step.

  1. Step 01

    Someone nearby searches.

Your customers are searching for a barber, a florist, a plumber or a DJ near them.

Management keeps rightYour name, category and service area, so the listing matches what you do.

  2. Step 02

    They compare what they see.

Photos, reviews and up-to-date details help them choose between businesses.

Management keeps rightFresh photos, weekly posts and responses to reviews.

  3. Step 03

    They get in touch.

A call, a message, a website visit or directions to your door.

Management keeps rightThe phone number, website link and hours they rely on.

Illustrations of a generic listing: not a real business, Google’s design, a ranking or a search result.

If details are missing or out of date, it’s harder for a customer to choose you or reach you. Monica’s free video audit reviews your listing and contact path, then explains what to work on first.
